MDN Train #2618 is on the move
MDN train #2618 scheduled to arrive Chicago Union Station at 7:44 PM, may be operating 25 to 30 minutes behind schedule, due to track construction. Visit metratracker.com for the location of your train.
Grayland Station Platform Construction (UPDATE)
Beginning, Tuesday, October 28, construction will begin on the ADA ramp/landing on platform 2 at Grayland. Construction should be completed November 1. The stairs will remain open as well as access to the mid-platform crossing during this period.
Morton Grove Partial Parking Outage
Due to ongoing construction of the new Morton Grove Metra Station and temporary reduction of the site's accessory parking, an existing 105-space municipal parking lot located at 8550 Lehigh Avenue will be made available to the public for permit parking starting August 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025.
Metra Bike Policy Changes
Metra amends the bike policy to address safety concerns with large, heavy e-bikes and e-scooters. Customers are now required to be able to carry their bikes and scooters on and off the train themselves without assistance. For more information visit metra.com.
Track Construction Saturday, November 1 through Sunday, November 2
Track construction will be taking place on Saturday, November 1 through Sunday, November 2. Trains may incur delays enroute up to 30 minutes behind schedule passing through the work zone. Please listen to announcements for any platform changes.
Grayslake Platform Rehabilitation Project
Beginning Saturday, October 25 through mid-December, the platform at Grayslake/Lake Street station will be replaced. Approximately 400 feet of the platform from the paid parking to the east end of the platform will be out of service. In addition, the staircase at the east end of the platform will also be out of service. Please?use caution near the work area during this time.
MDN Train #2618 Stopped
MDN train #26 18, scheduled to arrive Chicago Union Station at 7:44 PM, is stopped near Mayfair due to track construction. The duration of this delay is unknown. Metra will provide updates as information becomes available.
Forest Glen Station Rehabilitation
Beginning Wednesday, October 22,?the northwest staircase at Forest Glen station will be out of?service for rehabilitation for 6-8 weeks.?Please use the southwest staircase at?N Elston Ave, to access Platform 2.
