Kitsap County construction projects will cause delays on Route 108–Bethel through the end of 2026. Starting on June 8, Route 108 riders should expect delays along Bethel Rd between Lund Ave and Sedgwick Rd. Construction is scheduled from 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM daily through the end of 2026.
Kitsap Transit will add extra unscheduled bus service on Route 108 during construction hours. Plan extra travel time. On-time connections are not guaranteed during construction.

On Sunday, August 30, Mitchell Rd and a portion of Mitchel Avenue will be closed for an event.
Route 108 will not travel Mitchell Rd or Mitchell Ave and Bay St between Mitchell Ave and Bethel Ave. The bus will travel Bethel Ave and Bethel Rd on trips to and from the Port Orchard Ferry Dock.
The following stops are closed:
- Stop 676 - Mitchell at Lincoln
- Stop 677 - First Lutheran P&R
- Stop 678 - Mitchell at Melcher
- Stop 679 - Mitchell at Towne Square
- Stop 680 - Mitchell at Taylor
- Stop 681 - South Kitsap High
- Stop 682 - Mitchell at Dekalb
- Stop 683 - Bay at Mitchell

Starting Sept. 13, Kitsap Transit is increasing the frequency of Route 108–Bethel service to improve passenger connections to the Port Orchard Ferry. Buses will depart the Port Orchard Ferry Dock every 15 minutes between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM on weekdays.
Additionally, several timepoints outside the 8:30 AM–5:30 PM time range will shift by a few minutes.

On Labor Day, Sept. 7, Routed buses will operate Holiday Schedules or may not operate. Check kitsaptransit.com/holiday-schedule for availability and service times.
• Kitsap Fast Ferries and the Port Orchard Ferry will operate normal weekday service.
• The Annapolis Ferry will NOT operate.
• BI Ride will operate from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Trips after 4:00 PM must be booked through the Ride Pingo app.
• Kingston Ride Fast Ferry Commuter and Southworth Ride Fast Ferry Commuter will operate regular weekday service.
• Kingston Ride, SK Ride, Nollwood Dial-A-Ride and Purdy Ride will NOT operate.
• ACCESS will operate reduced service hours. Any pre-scheduled trips on Labor Day will be canceled. Call ACCESS at 1.800.422.2877 to rebook your ride.
• There will be no Worker/Driver service. Some Vanpools may not operate; call your Vanpool driver for information.
• Kitsap Transit's Customer Service Office and call center will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Administrative Office and ORCA call center will be closed. Call 1.800.501.7433 with any questions before the holiday.

Starting Sept. 13, SK Ride will pilot a new express route with direct connections to the Port Orchard Ferry Dock. SK Ride Express will make timed stops between the McCormick Woods and McCormick Village areas and the Port Orchard Ferry Dock, with departures every 30 minutes, from 5:13 AM until 8:13 PM.
SK Ride Express trips cannot be booked with the Ride Pingo App and operate separately from SK Ride On-Demand. If you live more than ½ mile from an SK Ride Express stop, you can book an on-demand trip through SK Ride to connect to a stop in the on-demand service area and transfer to SK Ride Express to reach the ferry dock. SK Ride does not directly serve the Port Orchard Ferry Dock.
