Virginia Beach Boulevard and Cypress Construction Started Thu Dec 18 2025 Until Tue Jun 24 2104
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the City of Virginia Beach will close Virginia Beach Boulevard at Cypress Avenue for a long-term construction project. The Routes 20, 33, and 960 will operate on a detour until further notice. Customers needing board/disembark for the Routes 20 and 960 must go the 19th & Parks lineup (adjacent to the Virginia Beach Convention Center). Customers may also see delays due to traffic.

Mid-Atlantic Shrine Association Parade Started Until Sat Sep 12
The City of Virginia Beach will hold the Mid-Atlantic Shrine Association Parade at the oceanfront on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Atlantic Avenue will be closed between 9th Street and 29th Street, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM. The Route 30 will not run until after 1:00 PM. All other routes at the oceanfront will not be impacted, but customers should expect delays due to an increase in traffic.
