Change
Service rerouted to serve Union Station and Bus-Only Lane Operations (BOLO) will be implemented along Colfax Avenue between Broadway and Colorado Blvd.
Note: Starting September 27, 15 and 15L buses will use new center bus-only lanes between Broadway and Colorado Blvd. Customers will board and exit at the new stations in the center of Colfax Avenue, current stops along the sidewalks of Colfax Avenue will be removed and not serviced by either route.
Reason
Support East Colfax Bus-Only Lane Operations (BOLO) per progression of Bus Rapid Transit Project, with changes to Route 10 serving the portion of discontinued route.
Survey Results
Out of 28 respondents, 61% reported a positive impact from the change, 18% indicated it had no impact, and 22% perceived the change negatively.
Effective September 1st, 2026, RTD is no longer affiliated with the Park-n-Ride lot at this station. Parking at this lot will be managed by Empower Field and associates, RTD parking policies will no longer be accepted. Alternative parking options are available at the Sheridan Station Garage or at the I-25 / Broadway Station.
Bus and light rail services continue to operate at the Decatur-Federal Station as scheduled.

RTD will begin operating bus Routes 15 and 15L in the two center lanes of Colfax Avenue – from Broadway to Colorado Boulevard – on Sept. 27.
Customers of Routes 15/15L will board and deboard from the BRT’s center station platforms, which will include new security cameras, lighting, public address (PA) systems and emergency phones.
Customers will continue to board and pay at the forward door but may exit from any door.
To expedite travel time, bike racks have been installed inside the buses, rather than at the front of the bus. Customers with bikes will board at the rear door to load their bikes onto racks inside the bus, then pay at the front of the bus.
Another new feature to expedite service is near-level boarding at stations. For customers with accessibility needs, the bus will rise and a ramp will be deployed for ease of boarding.
