Starting Friday, September 4 at 8 p.m. through Tuesday, September 8 at 5 a.m., the southbound lane and a single northbound left lane on 10 Street N.W. between 2 Avenue and 3 Avenue N.W. will be fully closed for deep utility tie-in. A single northbound lane will be open for northbound traffic. Route 5 will be detoured.


Route 5 will travel:



  • From South on 10 Street N.W.

  • East on 3 Avenue N.W.

  • South on 9A Street N.W.

  • West on 2 Avenue N.W.

  • South on 10 Street N.W., to regular route
