From Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 August, works will take place at Manchester Town Hall. To allow these works to happen safely, no trams will operate via Exchange Square. Services on the East Didsbury and Trafford Centre lines will operate via Market Street and Shudehill instead.

Temporary traffic lights and lane closures are in place on the following roads: Manchester Road, at the junction of Silk Street & Bolton Road, Manchester Road, at the junction of Edinburgh Way & Rochdale Valley Way and Manchester Road, at the junction of South of Montgomery Street. As a result, nearby roads are likely to see increased congestion and bus services may experience delays.
