Virginia Beach Boulevard and Cypress Construction Started Thu Dec 18 2025 Until Tue Jun 24 2104
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the City of Virginia Beach will close Virginia Beach Boulevard at Cypress Avenue for a long-term construction project. The Routes 20, 33, and 960 will operate on a detour until further notice. Customers needing board/disembark for the Routes 20 and 960 must go the 19th & Parks lineup (adjacent to the Virginia Beach Convention Center). Customers may also see delays due to traffic.

Updated: Neptune Festival: Grand Parade and 8K Detour Started Tue Sep 22 Until Sat Sep 26
Due to the Neptune's 8K Race on Atlantic Avenue, Saturday, September 26, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM the Route 31 will detour. The Route 30, during this time, will not begin service on Saturday until 12 noon. The lineup for the Route 31 at 3rd and Atlantic Ave will be moved to 19th and Parks, until after 12 noon. The majority of Neptune Festival activities have been cancelled, including the Grand Parade due to weather.
