On certain weekends and evenings, the Benaroya Hall Boeing Gallery will offer access to Symphony Station from 2.5 hours prior to any public event through its conclusion. See the Seattle Symphony’s calendar of Benaroya Hall events for dates and times of public events.
During the following times, Sound Transit will be replacing an expansion joint underneath the sidewalk and curb ramp at the east end of Weller Street Bridge.
• Beginning 9 p.m. May 1 until 1 a.m. May 2
During these hours, the following pedestrian pathways will be closed:
• Weller Street Bridge, including the entrance and elevator at the west end of Weller Street Bridge.
• Curb ramp on the west side of 4th Ave S at Weller St.
• Crosswalk across 4th Ave S at Weller St. Pedestrians will be able to cross 4th Ave S at S Jackson St or Seattle Blvd S.
• Sidewalk on the west side of 4th Ave S between S at S Jackson St or Seattle Blvd S.
The work is not expected to impact Sounder passengers, as it will occur outside of train operation hours at King Street Station, and each of the pedestrian pathways will be reopened for morning service.
Amtrak passengers arriving after 9 p.m. can use the elevator inside the station to access S. Jackson St. Amtrak passengers traveling to the station after 9 p.m. who need a step-free path from S. Jackson St. can proceed south on 2nd Ave S and then east on S. King St. to reach the main entrance to King Street Station.

1. Continue on 5th Ave S toward S King St.
2. Take the elevator down to the platform.
To exit the station:
1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit B.

Phase 1: The south plaza stairs to the northbound and southbound plaza. Access to the northbound and southbound platforms will be available from the south plaza elevators and the north/overcrossing stairs and elevators.
Phase 2: During welding at the top of the north/overcrossing stairs (expected duration 4 hours): the north/overcrossing to the northbound and southbound platforms and ped bridge from garage to overcrossing will be closed. Access to the southbound platform will be from the garage stairs or south plaza stairs and elevator.
Phase 3: During welding at the bottom of the stairs; the north/overcrossing stairs to the northbound and southbound plaza will be closed. Overcrossing will be opened. Access to the northbound and southbound platforms will be available from the north/overcrossing elevators and south plaza stairs and elevators.
Work will be done sequentially. Access to the southbound platform will not be impacted until after the morning commute.
SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025. Started Wed Jan 8 Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.

Route: 1 Line-Lynnwood - Angle Lake
Construction activity is resuming April 28 and continues until May 30 at the new Pinehurst Station. Started Mon Apr 28 Until Sat May 31 Construction work is taking place at the new Pinehurst Station. Trains will share one track through the Shoreline South/148th Station requiring passengers to use the alternate side of the platform during construction hours. Work will take place evenings, Monday through Friday, from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m., and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Trains will arrive about every 12 minutes beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Phase 1: March 24 through April 13 - Complete
Phase 2: April 28 through May 30 - Trains will be using the Angle Lake platform.
During the weekend of May 2-4 there will be construction in the area but it will not require the trains to share one track.
No work will be done May 17-18, and during the Memorial Day weekend of May 24-26

Sound Transit is conducting pre-revenue service in anticipation of the 2 Line extension to Downtown Redmond opening May 10. Started Mon Mar 31 Until Fri May 9 Passengers are required to exit trains at Redmond Technology Station to allow train operators to continue to the Downtown Redmond Station. Redmond Technology Station will continue to be the terminus station of the 2 Line until the extension to Downtown Redmond is completed and service officially begins around noon on May 10. During this time, station ETA’s may be unavailable. Trains will follow the scheduled arrival frequency of every 10 minutes.
Sound Transit will be testing trains with two cars to help validate the 2 Line system design. More...
