On Labor Day, Hampton Roads Transit bus, light rail, Naval Station Norfolk Base Express, OnDemand ridesharing services, and paratransit will operate on a Saturday schedule. The ferry will change to its Winter schedule. Labor Day will also be the final day for the full VB Wave schedule. After Labor Day, the VB Wave will switch to post-summer service and continue to operate through September 27, 2026. Transit center customer service booths and public access to all administrative facilities (ID cards, Lost and Found, etc.) will be closed. The Customer Service Call Center will be available from 9 AM - 4 PM.
The City of Portsmouth will host the Seawall Art Show, August 22-23, 2026, on High Street in downtown. The Routes 47 and 50 will not be able to service stops 1587 High & Crawford and 1715 High & Court during this event. Customers must go to the County & Court bus lineup.
