As part of the ongoing construction on I-64 at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, the Virginia Department of Transportation will conduct overnight closures during weekends in October. VDOT will only close one direction at a time. The Routes 961, 966, and 972 will detour using the Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel during the closure. Customers should expect delays. The closure schedule is as follows:
Westbound to Hampton:
Friday, Oct. 2 at 9:00 PM through Monday, Oct. 5 at 5:00 AM
Friday, Oct. 9 at 9:00 PM through Monday, Oct. 12 at 5:00 AM
