Bowie State University will celebrate their 2025 Homecoming festivities this weekend. The MARC Train parking lot adjacent to campus will be closed to MARC passengers on Saturday, November 1. All MARC parking will be in the lot on the west side of the tracks (off Route 197 at Lemons Bridge Road, adjacent to the southbound platform). Passengers should allow extra time to drive to the station due to potential heavy traffic on Route 197 and should avoid Racetrack Road and Jericho Park Road.
Don't forget that MARC Train is a great option if you are traveling to the game! Train 481 departs Baltimore at 11:00am, arriving at Bowie State University at 11:33am and Train 480 departs Washington at 11:05am, arriving at 11:24am. There are several trains you can take home after the game. Thank you for riding MARC Train....and go Bulldogs for a big Homecoming win!

Effective Monday, September 22, Train 404 (currently the 6:43am departure from Union Station) will depart Washington and New Carrollton three minutes EARLIER. This change will enable Train 404 to depart Washington ahead of the Amtrak Acela train and ensure an on time arrival at upline stations. Train 404 will depart Washington promptly at 6:40am, so please allow additional time to arrive at Union Station and board the train. Thank you for riding MARC.
Amtrak continues performing maintenance and upgrades to the passenger platforms at BWI Rail Station. On Tuesday, September 23, work will shift from the northern portion of the BWI platform to the southern portion. Passengers must listen carefully to announcements made on board the train as not all doors will be able to open on larger trainsets. To ensure that you are able to exit the train at BWI, please detrain only where you see a uniformed Conductor. Please be mindful of all construction signage and do not enter the out of service portion of the platform.
Thank you for riding MARC Train.
MARC Train is pleased to announce that Penn Line Train 401 returned to service on October 14. Train 401 was suspended in April 2024 to support Amtrak's state of good repair and ADA accessibility construction work at stations between Baltimore and Washington. MARC Train appreciates the collaborative efforts with Amtrak to restore this service.
