Commuter Bus-On Monday, September 28, 2026, MTA Commuter Bus will resume normal service to all regularly scheduled stops in Washington, D.C. Service to the outlying WMATA Metrorail stations that was temporarily implemented during the recent service adjustment period will be discontinued.
These temporary service adjustments were put in place to accommodate road closures associated with the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping. With those activities now concluding, most affected commuter bus routes will return to their regular service patterns.
