• 442-Balmain East Wharf to City QVB (Loop Service)

From 5pm on Wednesday 31 December New Year’s Eve until 4am on Thursday 1 January New Year’s Day the following route buses will start and end trips at QVB Town Hall due to major road closures in place for NYE celebrations in the city.
Buses to the city will end trips around QVB and Town Hall. See below details on departure stops for buses leaving the city.

- Terminal 3 - York St QVB:
Buses towards the Eastern, Northern and North Western suburbs including Five Dock, Parramatta, Balmain, Five Dock, Macquarie Uni, East Ryde, Chiswick and West Ryde- Stand A: Routes 389 (to Pyrmont), 437, 441, 442 and 504
- Stand C: Routes 500N (to Parramatta), 500x (to West Ryde) and 506 (to East Ryde/Macquarie University)

From 3pm NYE to 4am NYD route 441 buses to Birchgrove and 442 buses to Balmain will end trips early due to local road closures surrounding New Year’s Eve vantage points in the Balmain and Birchgrove peninsula.
- Route 441: from 3pm buses to Birchgrove will detour around a section of Robert St and use a temporary stop on Crescent St before continuing to Birchgrove. From 3pm buses will run to and from Gladstone Park in Balmain only and will not continue to Birchgrove. Buses to the city will start trips from Gladstone Park, Darling St (Stop ID: 204139). Buses from the city will end trips at Darling St at Ford St (Stop ID: 204126). Buses will not make stops in Birchgrove, continue on foot from Balmain.
- Route 442: from 3pm buses will detour around a section of Robert St and use a temporary stop on Crescent St before continuing to Balmain. From 3pm buses will run to and from Gladstone Park only. Buses to the city will start trips from Gladstone Park, Darling St (Stop ID: 204139). Buses from the city will end trips at Darling St at Ford St (Stop ID: 204126). Stops between Gladstone Park and the wharf along Darling St will be missed. Continue on foot.
