From 5pm on Wednesday 31 December New Year’s Eve until 4am on Thursday 1 January New Year’s Day the following route buses will start and end trips at Wynyard due to major road closures in place for NYE celebrations in the city.

- Terminal 4 - York St at Wynyard Park:
Buses to the Lower North Shore and Northern Suburbs- Stand J: Routes 288 to Macquarie University and 292 to Marsfield
- Stand K: Route 100 to Taronga Zoo
- Stand L: Route 120 to Chatswood
- Terminal 5 – Carrington St at Wynyard Park:
Buses to the Northern Beaches- Stand A: Routes 170x to Manly, and routes 172x, 173x to Warringah Mall
- Stand B: B-Line routes B1 and BN1
- Terminal 6 - Clarence St at Erskine St and Margaret St:
Buses to the Hills District, St Ives, Belrose and Davidson.- Stand R: Routes 607x to Bella Vista, 610x to Castle Hill, Route 613x to Bella Vista, 614x to Crestwood, 615x to North Kellyville and 616x to Kellyville Ridge
- Stand S: Routes 194, 270, 271 until 10pm only. Go to Chatswood to connect with these routes after 10pm.
- Terminal 7 – Kent St at Margaret St
Buses to the Hills District- Stand V: Routes 620X to Cherrybrook, 642X to Dural and 652X to West Pennant Hills
- Forest Coach Lines buses will not run to and from the City after 10pm. Route 194, 270 and 271 services will start and finish at Chatswood Station after this time. Catch a train or metro to Chatswood for additional Route 282 services to Frenchs Forest, Davidson, Belrose and Terrey Hills. Catch the train to Gordon for additional Route 195/196 services to St Ives and Terrey Hills.
- From 11pm to 1.30am the Harbour Bridge will be closed to all traffic. Catch a train from Wynyard Station to North Sydney or Metro from Martin Place to Victoria Cross to connect with buses to the North Shore, Northern Beaches and the Hills, and to Chatswood Station for buses to St Ives & Belrose.
