Starting Monday, October 3, and continuing until further notice, University Avenue will be closed between Earl and Union to allow safe removal of debris from demolition of a nearby building. During this time, from the Downtown Transfer Point, Express Route 801 will detour via Bagot, West, King, Lower University, and Stuart, resuming regular route at Kingston General Hospital. The stop on University at Union will be out of service, and Express Route 801 buses will not service the stop on Brock at Barrie. Started Sep 29 2022

Effective start of day Friday, February 10, and continuing until further notice, the University Avenue detour will be changed for Express Route 601/602 due to narrow traffic conditions on Alfred. University Avenue remains closed between Earl and Union until further notice to allow safe removal of debris from demolition of a nearby building.

During this time, from the intersection of University and Earl, Express Route 601 buses will detour right to Earl, left to Albert, and left to Stuart to resume regular route. The stop on University at Union remains out of service; please continue to board Express Route 601 buses on University at Earl.

The LaSalle Causeway is currently closed, and will remain CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. During this time, Express Route 601/602 will detour between the Downtown Transfer Point and Highway 15/Gore via Montreal and the Waaban Crossing. As of Wednesday, April 24, Express Route 601/602 will service Express Route 801/802 stops on Montreal between Downtown Transfer Point and Hickson. Regular service will continue to be provided to stops between Rideau Town Centre and the Innovation Drive Park & Ride.

A shuttle (Route 12A) will provide service between Niagara Park/CANEX and the Bus Terminal Transfer Point every 30 minutes. The shuttle will run Monday-Saturday from 6:10 a.m.-11:40 p.m., and on Sundays from 8:55 a.m.-8:45 p.m. Riders may transfer between the shuttle and Express Route 601/602 at temporary stops at the Highway 15/Gore intersection. As of Monday, April 15, Route 12A has been extended to service the stop on Highway 2 at Royal Military College (south side).

Stops at Royal Military College (south sides of Highway 2), Slush Puppie Place, and Barrack/King will be out of service during the Causeway closures.

Effective Monday, September 12, Route 18 Train Station buses will not service the shelter on John Counter at Old Mill. Route 18 buses will continue to service the stop on Old Mill just outside the VIA Rail station (one-half block south), and Routes 7 and 16 will continue to service the shelter on John Counter. The LaSalle Causeway remains CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Route 12 is not operating. Effective Monday, April 15, the following changes will be made to Route 12A.
• The Route 12A will be extended to service the Express stop on Highway 2 at Royal Military College (south side).
• Buses will no longer service the stop on Niagara Park at CANEX (east side). During weekday peak hours (6-9 a.m. and 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday), please board buses on Highway 2, east of Highway 15 (one block north and one-half block west). At all other times, please board buses on Niagara Park at Sicily (west side, across from CANEX).

Effective Monday, May 27, Route 3 will be adjusted to Ontario Street and The Tragically Hip Way to support improved access to the opening of the Lasalle Causeway for pedestrians and cyclists.
• Board Route 3 at Downtown Transfer Point Platform 5 (east side of Bagot, at Princess).
• New stop: Barrack at King (south side).
• Stops at Johnson/Wellington and Johnson/King will not be in service.
• Route will use King in both directions between Mowat and Sir John A. Macdonald. Routes 1, 2 and 18 are alternatives on Union.

Starting Monday, May 13, and continuing until Friday, May 31, crews will be repaving the Centre 70 Park & Ride parking lot. Approximately half of the available spaces will be unavailable during this time. The entrance from Days Road will be closed from Monday, May 13 until Wednesday, May 22. Alternatives include the Jim Beattie Park Park & Ride (on Henderson at Chelsea), and the Royal Kingston Curling Club adjacent to Centre 70 (please use the parking lot closest to Days).
