Starting Monday, November 2, and continuing until further notice, CFB Kingston-bound Route 12 buses will detour away from Ontario between Queen and The Tragically Hip to accommodate the Wolfe Island Ferry Dock reconstruction project. Buses will exit the Downtown Transfer Point northbound via Bagot, then will detour straight, right to Barrack, and left to Ontario to resume regular route. Southbound Kingston Centre-bound Route 12 buses are unaffected. The Express stop on Ontario at the Wolfe Island Ferry Dock (east side) will be out of service during this time; please board buses at the temporary accessible stop on Barrack and King (one block west). Effective Thursday, July 21, and continuing until further notice, Route 12 service levels will be temporarily reduced in order to continue to provide high-quality, efficient service for the whole of the transit system. Route 12 will operate hourly during daytime hours Monday-Saturday, with trips departing CFB Kingston at :15 past the hour, and trips departing Kingston Centre Transfer Point at :45 past the hour. The LaSalle Causeway is currently closed, and will remain CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. During this time, Route 12 WILL NOT OPERATE.
Express Route 701/702 will service Route 12 stops on Brock (west of Downtown Transfer Point), Johnson (between Regent and Bagot), and Palace. Route 3 continues to service stops at Brock/City Hall and Johnson/Wellington. The Route 12A east-end shuttle will service stops at Highway 2/Highway 15 and on Niagara Park every 30 minutes Monday-Saturday 6:10 a.m.-11:40 p.m., and Sundays from 8:55 a.m.-8:45 p.m. Route 12A will service stops on Cambrai and Lundy's (on CFB Kingston property) from 6:10-9:10 a.m. and 2:10-6:10 p.m. weekdays.
