Red Line: Shuttle Buses are replacing service between Alewife and Harvard the weekend of June 29 - 30 for track work. Commuter Rail service will be free to ride between Porter and North Station. Bus Route 77 will be fare-free. Starts Jun 29 Until Jul 1 As a result of this service change, there will be longer than normal time between Red Line subway trains where service continues to operate. Riders are encouraged to plan extra time. Accessible vans will be available to riders Monday through Friday - Please see station personnel for assistance.

Red Line: Shuttle buses replace service between Broadway and Braintree the weekend of June 15-16, for bridge and track work. Regular service will operate between JFK/UMass and Ashmont. Started Until Jun 17 Commuter Rail service between Braintree and South Station will be suspended during this work as well. Express shuttle buses will be available between Braintree and South Station.

The Alewife Garage may have additional spaces taken to accelerate repairs while the demand for parking is low. Once parking demand increases, these spaces will be made available again to our riders. Started Mar 27 2020
The Quincy Adams parking garage has re-opened with most parking spaces available. Customers can access the garage via the Route 3 off ramp exit as well as the Burgin Parkway entrance. Started Jan 31 2021 Beginning November 29, the parking lot across from the station will close. Please use the garage or adjacent surface lot as an alternative.
The Quincy Adams Garage drop-off and pick-up location will remain at its location within Level 1B.
The garage will be PayByPhone / PayByPlate with no need to pay to exit. More information on how to pay for parking is available at mbta.com/parking.
The Braintree Parking Garage has re-opened with most parking spots available. The surface lot on Ivory St will remain open as an alternate parking option. Started Apr 20 2021 Riders can continue to use PayByPhone or pay-by-plate with the same parking fees as other MBTA surface lots.
The outbound platform at Kendall/MIT station will be closed beginning at 9:00 PM on Friday, June 28, and continuing all day and every day for the weekend of June 29-30. Starts Jun 28 Until Jul 1 For outbound/northbound riders disembarking at Kendall/MIT, riders should instead travel to Central station to board an inbound/southbound train back to Kendall/MIT. The fare gates will be open at Central inbound/southbound for a free transfer.
For outbound/northbound riders boarding at Kendall/MIT, riders should instead board an inbound/southbound train, disembark at Charles/MGH, and travel to the outbound/northbound platform for continued train service. Riders can move between the platforms for free at Charles/MGH without passing through fare gates.
